What to Expect

A typical Sunday morning at Bethel Cleveland is casual, but expectant.  We begin with a time of worship together, followed by personal ministry, video announcements, then a message from the pastor, and finally a time of closing ministry. New to Bethel Cleveland? Join us immediately following the service for our Visitor Reception.

Worship

Worship is a primary focus for us.  We approach worship as a time of giving thanks and adoring our Creator, as well as an opportunity to really connect with God on a deeper level, experience his presence, and find healing.  We invite you to assume whatever posture of worship is comfortable for you, whether that be sitting, standing, lifting your hands or dancing.  We do ask that you not use tamborines or large flags or banners, because these can be a distraction to our worship team.

Communion

Communion is a regular part of our Sunday services.  At some of our services, bread and grape juice are available at the front of the sanctuary throughout the duration of worship for you and your family to take together.  At other services, we take communion corporately at the end of worship.

Ministry

We believe that God's presence changes people.  Whether you need physical healing, emotional healing, financial provision, encouragement, hope or a closer relationship with your Heavenly Father, God can meet you where you are and bring change.  We make a point of taking time each Sunday to pray for you and release God's power and presence in your life.

Video Announcements

Every week, we give you a glimpse of upcoming events through video announcements. You can also see upcoming events in your paper bulletin or by checking the website.

Message

Following announcements, Pastor Steve (or occasionally one of our other pastors) will present a message.  These messages are based on the Word of God and use both Scriptural and personal examples in illustrating its truths and how it can be applied to our lives.

Closing Ministry

At the end of the message, there is oftentimes an opportunity to respond to what God is saying to you. This sometimes takes the form of corporate ministry, personal ministry, or members of the congregation ministering to one another.

Afterwards

  • Prophetic Ministry: When the service is over, there are prophetic teams available at the front, left side of the sanctuary to minister. Whether you have a specific need or simply would like some encouragement, feel free to go up front and put your name on the list. These teams are specially trained and commissioned by Bethel Cleveland to pray for you and speak words of encouragement they believe God is saying for you specifically.
  • Visitor Reception: If this is your first time visiting us on a Sunday morning, or if you've come before and not yet attended one, join us for our visitor reception and enjoy coffee and donuts, watch a brief video about our church, and meet the pastor.
