Community Fun Day

Elevate Slavic Village's first major event, the Community Fun Day, was a glorious demonstration of God's love in very tangible ways to one of the poorest areas in the city. Live music filled the air as children jumped around in bounce houses, had their faces painted, made crafts and played games. The smells of kielbasa, hotdogs, and grilled peppers drew hungry passersby who ended up sticking around to socialize, have a free hair-cut, or receive some of the many prizes that were given away. A healing and blessing tent was also set up so that people could receive prayer for any number of concerns. With the help of over 100 volunteers from the Breakthrough Cleveland Conference, the event ran smoothly from start to finish. All in all, over 1000 people were fed a hot meal, 300 families received bags of groceries, hundreds of faces were painted, and nearly a dozen people committed to follow Christ for the first time! The Community Fun Day was a landmark event in the history of Elevate Slavic Village and Bethel Cleveland.
